
About the Curator
Jo Anna Isaak received her doctorate from the University of Toronto, Canada in 1982. She now makes her home in New York City. She is a writer, curator and a professor of art history at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
She is the author of Feminism and Contemporary Art: The Revolutionary Power of Women's Laughter (Routledge 1996); Nancy Spero with Jon Bird and Sylvere Lotringer (Phaidon 1996); The Ruin of Representation in Modernist Art and Texts (1986); Kiki Smith (Whitechapel Galley 1995) as well as numerous essays on contemporary art and cultural theory.
