HWS Biology Faculty

BIOLOGY FACULTY

In addition to being teachers, HWS professors are researchers and scholars in their fields. Faculty members devote time outside the classroom to engage students in research projects.

In the last three years, HWS Biology professors have been awarded grants totaling more than $1,000,000 from the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Education, Great Lakes National Protection Fund and the Alden Trust.

Additional grants have also been awarded through partnerships with the NY Audubon and the Nature Conservancy, Braddock Bay Bird Observatory, USDA, the Finger Lakes Institute and the New York State Agricultural Experimental Station.
