The Chemistry department prides itself in offering to every one of its majors opportunities to do research, one-on-one, with a faculty member. This experience gives our students the chance to explore their talents and inclinations for research as well as to experience first hand the practice of the discipline that they study. Students can do research in our laboratories during the academic year with course credit or during the summer with stipend and housing support from the colleges.

Summer Science Research Program - Students in their first, second, and third years may apply for competitively awarded summer research fellowships. Participants work side-by-side with chemistry faculty on a variety of cutting-edge research projects.
