Resources for Students

Revised 4/15/04

This page provides links to several other pages that may be of help as you navigate the HWS curriculum.

HWS Curricular What When and How is a quick reference on the curricular requirements for students. It briefly outlines what you need to do to graduate, when you need to do it, and how to accomplish it.

The student guide to the curriculum provides a somewhat fuller description of the HWS curriculum. This page includes a discussion of disciplinary versus interdisciplinary programs, a description of each of the eight goals (including lists of courses related to some of the goals), as well as answers to some frequently asked questions.

Goal Certification Forms links to the certification forms needed for each of the goals. These forms are also available in the Registrar's Office.

The Baccalaureate Plan are forms that must be completed during the Spring of your Junior year. This page describes the steps necessary to complete the plan.

Double Majors This page provides information for those considering a double major.

Individual Majors are self designed majors. This page describes the procedure and guidelines required to develop your own major. The necessary forms are available in the Registrar's office. Note: creating your own major and getting it approved can be exciting, but it requires a good deal of work and a high level of commitment.
