Professor Sheila Bennett offered an innovative fall 2006 First-Year Seminar focusing on Yoga. Her students studied the historical, sociological and economic impacts of the tradition while spending nearly a third of their class time practicing Yoga poses.

Goal 5: Artistic Expression

An understanding of artistic expression based in the experience of a fine or performing art. Artistic expression can be experienced in courses in studio art, music, dance, theatre, and creative writing in which students engage directly in performance or creative effort.
