Faculty who are on leave
and in residence for the period of the leave may apply for a carrel for the period of the leave, upon assurance that the carrel will be used on a regular basis.
Tenured and tenure-track faculty
and others in ongoing appointment engaged in scholarly projects requiring continual or substantial access to the library's collections. Application must describe the project and resources required.
Untenured (tenure track) faculty
engaged in scholarly work utilizing the library's resources. Application must describe the work undertaken and resources required.
Emeriti faculty
engaged in active research, upon application describing that research.
Temporarily-appointed faculty
in greater than half-time appointment engaged in scholarly work utilizing the library's resources. Application must describe the work undertaken and resources required. Carrels awarded on a space available basis.
