Applications for Faculty Study Carrels are reviewed by the Committee on the Library, a subcommittee of the Committee on the Faculty (CoFAC), on an annual basis. Applications are due April 15th for assignment each subsequent year or portion thereof. The policy on Faculty Study Carrels, including prioritization of assignments may be found in the Faculty Handbook Part II, beginning on page 49 (https://campus.hws.edu/aca/provost/handbook/faculty_handbook_part_2.pdf). Questions regarding carrels may be addressed to the Library Director.
If you use films or VHS tapes for classroom instruction, Cecilia Joy, the Library Film Booking Clerk will book (rent) the film/video for you. Purchases for the Library collection are not done by Film Booking. To recommend a purchase online, use the library order recommendation form.
To place a film booking order, please fill out the film booking request form. We'll contact vendors, arranged shipping of material, or just find your film/VHS cost and availability.
For projectionists and equipment please make arrangements with Classroom and Event Services separately, ext. 4357.
Interlibrary Loan is done through our online system, ILLiad.

Requests for monograph and video materials to be added to the library’s permanent collection may be made using the library order recommendation form. Whenever possible, please indicate when a recommended item is planned for curricular use. We will make every effort to have materials needed for classroom use available when needed.
