Brian T. Russell is director of the Colleges Community Chorus. He is a Doctoral student in conducting at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, where he received his Masters Degree in 2004.
Prior to his engagements in the Finger Lakes, Russell was director of the Hendersonville Community Singers, a semi-professional chorus near Nashville, Tennessee. He was also the choir director at White House High School, where his ensembles consistently received superior ratings at regional and statewide festivals.
Russell's professional affiliations include Chorus America, Music Educator's National Conference, and the American Choral Directors Association, where he served as the Tennessee High School Repertoire and Standards chair from 2005-2007. He has had an extraordinary host of teachers, including Raphael Bundage, Mark Scatterday, Neil Varon, and William Weinert.
