The Department of Music, located in Williams Hall, offers
applied instruction in numerous disciplines, including piano,
woodwinds, guitar, voice, brass, and percussion. If you are
interested in taking private lessons, you can contact one of
the instructors in your area of interest. Students who have
taken lessons in the past may choose to bring to the first
lesson a piece from their repertoire to play for the instructor.
Participation in department-offered applied music lessons carries
a one-half course credit per semester; the fee for lessons
is $270.00 per semester.
There is a wing of practice rooms on the second floor
of Williams Hall; pianos are available for use in the practice rooms. The Department of Music is not able to
loan band or orchestra instruments to students.
